The Selector module can be used in any environment where items of different shapes and sizes are to be pre-sorted, including security-check environments at airports. The Selector module can be used to filter non-standard items away from the subsequent automatic process, selecting one direction for items that conform and diverting non-conforming items in another direction. The Selector can be integrated into existing sorting systems.
The capacity depends very much on the size of the item. The smaller the item, the higher the capacity will be. If the items to be pre-sorted have a length of max 600 mm, the capacity will be approx. 1,640 items per hour.
The selector module is simple to integrate
The Selector module is a universal standard that suits most sorting systems whatever the application: distribution, baggage handling at airports etc. The module can be integrated into existing systems with minimal fuss.
The Selector module is controlled by your system, which provides signals for the belt and the diverter. When a sort signal is received, the diverter changes position allowing the item to pass in one direction or the other.
