Boom conveyor with ManRider operator platform
One or two operators standing on the ManRider Operator Platform fitted to the end of a Caljan BeltTrack telescopic boom conveyor can work ergonomically. The operator(s) move(s) with the boom conveyor as it is raised or lowered, extended or retracted. Movement is controlled by the operator, using a joystick placed within easy reach at the head of the conveyor.
This solution is ideal for unloading/loading Timpte Super Cube or other specialised trailers.

Fitting a ManRider operator platform to a telescopic boom conveyor means that the operator is positioned ideally to load or unload loose-loaded items ergonomically and safely. This particular model of our Caljan BeltTrack conveyor is ideal for heavy or cumbersome goods such as tyres.
The operator simply steps onto the operator platform and uses the joystick to extend the boom inside the container or trailer. As the operator loads or unloads a trailer, the platform on which he stands moves with the conveyor. Even with the extra weight of the platform and operator, the telescopic boom conveyor can extend up to 15.5 metres. The joystick is used to raise or lower the boom, so that the operator is positioned precisely where he needs to be. Foot pedal operation is optional.
The ManRider Operator Platform can be used by one or
two operators working together.

Caljan ManRider Operator Platform is type approved by Notified Body 0296 in accordance iwth Machine Directive 98/37/EC annex IV.
The operator platform is equipped with a safety hand-rail, clamp for restraining harness and chain plus an anti-slip floor plate to prevent the operator(s) slipping from the platform. The entire underside of the platform is one big safety sensor to avoid crushed feet or material. There are also safety edges at the front and rear of the platform to prevent crushing when extending or retracting the conveyor. Additionally, safety stops ensure that platform movement is restricted to the operating area, to prevent the operator from knocking into the sides of the container.
